Frequently Asked Questions
What is your photography & editing style?
First and foremost, I believe in capturing moments as real and authentic as they can get. While yes I will retouch, edit, and photoshop any unwanted objects and things like that out of the portrait, I don’t believe in crazy color grading and extreme editing. As my personal editing style, I tend to keep my portraits glowy, bright, warm, and true to color!
What should I wear for my portrait session?
WEAR WHAT MAKES YOU COMFORTABLE! What I always suggest for my senior girls is to pick at least one dress and one outfit with jeans (or shorts) . This is one of the easier decisions to make once you have your colors decided! You know what looks best on your body.
Do you use a studio?
I prefer to work outdoors— I’ve found that most people are happier in a natural environment and working with natural lighting provides more opportunities and environments to work with!
Do you recommend locations for my portrait session?
I am happy to recommend suitable locations for your photoshoot. Just let me know what kind of vibe you are looking for in your session, and we can definitely find a place that works best for you!
How long will it take for me to get my pictures?
Turn around from shoot to gallery is usually one week, and it takes one to two weeks for print orders to be processed and delivered. If you have particular requirements for a job to be turned around to a deadline, please let me know in advance.
When is the best time of year for a portrait session?
This all depends on you and and your preferences and tolerance to heat/cold. Portrait sessions can take place at any time of the year, including in the winter and the dead heat of summer! It all depends on how you’d like your pictures to look and your availability. During your initial consultation, we’ll talk more about your vision, and I can help you decide the most appropriate time for what it is that you’re looking for.
